Priya is inspired by the complexities of life and the wear of time on people, places and objects. Visually interest is on layers of textures such as the peeling of vintage wallpapers. The result is intricate work that delves into questions of the purpose of our existence.
"I've always had an urge to create things and am inspired by patterns and textures- whether it is a weathered stone wall or a natural gemstone. 2012 is somewhat of a creative milestone for me as it feels like my creative energy is at a peak and I know what I want to do. I am revisiting my love for textiles and surface pattern."
